PSA: If you lot're Xbox controller's bumper just works when yous press it way besides hard, you can set up it by belongings downwards the trigger button and blowing into the gap created under the bumper.

Manifestly, a build up of grit and crap is what causes it. I wouldn't take believed this either only I tried information technology and it saved me 50 dollars. Would recommend.

Edit: Compressed Air appears to work even better than blowing in it so endeavour using that earlier giving up! I would too suggest removing the plates underneath themselves in order to become all the mode in there.

I but threw mine abroad a couple days agone after disassembling and still not being able to figure it out. Feels bad man.

I opened upward my Elite controller terminal calendar week considering the left bumper wasn't working at all. I was able to locate the actual button inside the controller (it's really small) and the problem wasn't that the bumper was't making contact. I was able to click the button easily with a butter pocketknife; naught happened.

I didn't know what else to try so I was going to requite up and but put the controller back together. But before I did, I sprayed compressed air on the bumper push, and that stock-still it immediately.

These bumpers likewise crack. And without the strength of the plastic, it makes the pressing more difficult.

Some people report bumpers completely breaking, only mine was more of a hairline fracture.

If then dirt isn't the effect, search amazon for a bumper repair kit. Wait on YouTube. And spend 30 minutes fixing the bumper. I did information technology. Works like a champ now.

Cracks can class in the plastic too, happened twice on my elite. If that's your trouble, at that place are kits you can become for ~$10 and Youtube has lots of videos on how to swap the pieces out.
